Got proof?
Bring it.
We publish the source or we do not publish the claim, and that standard cuts in both directions. If you can show us that we have got something wrong, we will say so on the piece itself.
Send a document
Reports, letters, internal guidance and FOI responses are all useful to us. Tell us what the document is and what you think it shows. If you work inside one of the departments we cover, please read the source protection guidance before you send anything.
Read source protectionCorrect something
If we have published something that is wrong, send us the document that shows it. Corrections are published on the piece itself, dated, and they say what was wrong.
Corrections policyRight of reply
If you or your organisation are the subject of a piece, you can send us a response and we will publish it in full at the foot of the article.
How we workShare what happened to you
A great deal of what ends up on this site began as one person describing what happened to them. The community is the quickest route in, and you can post under a pseudonym.
Go to the communitySet up your contact route
This is a development build and no live inbox has been connected yet. Before launch you should add a monitored address here, and if you intend to receive material from people working inside government you will also need an encrypted route such as a Signal number or a SecureDrop instance. Publishing a plain email address as the only option puts sources at risk.
